We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the Service:

• Resume text: The content of the resume you upload or paste for analysis.
• Email address: Collected through Stripe during the checkout process. We do not collect your email directly.
• Analysis results: The AI-generated analysis, scores, recommendations, optimized resume, and cover letter associated with your submission.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect passwords, names, or other personal identifiers beyond what is listed above.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Service: Your resume text is sent to OpenAI for AI analysis. The results are stored to enable you to view and download your analysis.
• To process payments: Your email and payment information are handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers.
• To improve the Service: We may use aggregated, anonymized data to understand usage patterns and improve our analysis quality.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ResumeAI:

• Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe collects your email and payment information under their own Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI — AI-powered resume analysis. Your resume text is sent to OpenAI for processing under their Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Database storage for analysis results. Data is stored securely with encryption at rest.
• Vercel — Website hosting and deployment.

4. Data Retention

Analysis results, including your resume text and generated reports, are stored for 90 days from the date of creation. After this period, data is automatically deleted from our systems. Stripe retains payment records according to their own retention policies and legal obligations.

5. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Our database is hosted on Supabase with encryption at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request deletion: You can request that we delete your analysis data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
• Access your data: You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: If any data we hold about you is inaccurate, you may request that we correct it.

7. Cookies

ResumeAI uses minimal cookies required for the Service to function properly (e.g., session management). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. No data is shared with advertisers.

8. Children's Privacy

ResumeAI is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
